SaaSdevelopment withAI at the core
We build software platforms that grow module by module: first one module that pays for itself, then the next on the same foundation.
Discuss a SaaS project
Let's talk about your project.
First we check whether the project fits your business model. Then you get a proposal with phases and effort.
Discuss a SaaS project or call: +49 151 1576 5566SaaS development means building software that customers use in the browser instead of installing it themselves, with operation, billing and further development from a single source. Scalableloops develops such platforms with a modular architecture: each function is its own module, and all modules share user accounts, data and billing. A product can start with one module, generate revenue and then grow, without every extension becoming a new project. References include MeinDienstarzt, JourF’x and Momentsuite.
- SaaS is software delivered as an ongoing service in the browser, with operation, updates and billing.
- A modular architecture lets a platform grow step by step on a shared foundation.
- We build AI in where it does the product's core job, not as an extra button.
- For industries with sensitive data we plan hosting in Germany and GDPR from the start.
What does building a SaaS platform involve?
A SaaS platform is more than a web application. The product includes user accounts and permissions, separation of different customers' data, billing, operation with backups and monitoring, updates without downtime, and a way to ship new features without putting existing ones at risk.
If you plan this only for the first product, you build it again for the second. That is why we set up these shared building blocks once and build the business functions as modules on top.
Why a modular architecture?
Many platforms fail not because of the idea but because they start too big. A modular architecture allows the opposite path: the first module solves a clearly defined problem and has to prove itself in the market. Only then does the next one follow, using the same accounts, data and processes.
| Building block | shared once | per module |
|---|---|---|
| User accounts, roles, sign-in | yes | no |
| Billing and contracts | yes | pricing per module |
| Data protection, hosting, backups | yes | no |
| Business processes | no | yes |
| AI functions | shared integration | task per module |
Which platforms have we helped build?
MeinDienstarzt matches statutory on-call medical shifts in Germany between practising doctors and locums, for four shift types and in all 17 regional associations of statutory health insurance physicians. The offering practice lists shifts for free; a fee is only charged after a successful match. We support the platform as a partner.
JourF’x combines video conversation and documentation in one workflow, from preparing the appointment to finished, audit-proof minutes. We are responsible for the AI that handles domain context and for the compliance architecture.
Momentsuite turns the website of a restaurant or hotel into a social media strategy with target groups, formats and a filled editorial calendar. We are responsible for architecture, AI pipelines and scaling.
MeinDienstarzt and JourF’x are modules under the MedicPlace umbrella for doctors, which has further modules in development. This is exactly the path a modular architecture is designed for.
How does AI fit sensibly into a SaaS platform?
AI pays off in a product where it does the work customers use the software for in the first place: writing the minutes, filling the editorial calendar, classifying the request. A chat window next to an unchanged application rarely delivers the same benefit.
This comes with obligations that the EU AI Act has made concrete, such as transparency towards users and traceable logs. How we implement this is described on our page on AI governance.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to have a SaaS platform built?
It depends on the first module, the integrations and the requirements for operation and data protection. After a conversation you receive a proposal with phases and effort, split into shared foundation and first module.
How long does development take?
It depends on the scope of the first module. We plan so that a usable first module runs with real customers early, rather than building a complete platform for a long time.
Where is the data hosted?
For industries with sensitive data we plan hosting in Germany. We clarify the requirements at the start because they determine architecture and cost.
Can you add AI to existing software?
Yes. We first check where AI can take over your users' core task and build it in there.
Do you also run the platform?
Yes, on request. With SaaS, operation, updates and further development are part of the product and are shown in the proposal.
How your platform comes about
- 01
Check the business model
We clarify which problem the first module solves and who pays for it.
- 02
Lay the foundation
Accounts, permissions, billing, hosting and data protection are built once for all modules.
- 03
First module
The first module goes live with real users, and we measure what works.
- 04
Grow
Further modules are added on the same foundation.
Which module of your platform would someone pay for today? That is where we start.
