Augsburg researches AI for production, and your office gains from the training

Home to 301,786 inhabitants as of December 31, 2025 (Bavarian State Office for Statistics), Augsburg is a major industrial location. Large plants such as Everllence, Renk and MT Aerospace sit at the edge of the old town, Premium Aerotec manufactures in the south, and Siemens operates a technology park in the Hochfeld district.

In the AI production network at Technische Hochschule Augsburg, researchers develop AI solutions with more than 100 partners from skilled trades, SMEs and industry; the university, Fraunhofer IGCV and DLR are also part of the network. In July 2025, the Digitales Zentrum Schwaben opened its Founders Factory in a former Siemens production hall.

Research shows what AI can achieve in production. In the office of the same company, its value depends on simpler questions: who may use which tool with which data, and who checks the result? Our training answers them.
